The Checca property is comprised of seven concessions covering 5,200 hectares. It is located in the District of Checca, Canas Province, Department of Cusco. It is accessed in 6 hours approx. from the City of Cusco as follows:
Cusco - Sicuani 200 Kms. Asphalted road
Sicuani - 50 kms affirmed road
Checca - 30 kms affirmed road
Checca – Asuncion 19 Kms affirmed road
The mineralization is Epitermal Au, Ag of high sulfuration type. The exploration plan includes mapping, rock chip sampling, Mag-IP geophysics and diamond drilling of 5 holes of 300 meters each.
Exploration Campaign
Cordillera de las Minas, 2007 - 2008
The property was adquired by Cordillera de Las Minas (CDLM). CDLM carried out 26 rock chip samples, 96 sediment samples were collected. Geological mapping of the area of interest at 1/5000 scale.
Panoro Minerals, 2008 - Present
To date, Panoro has undertaken limited site visits. A gap structure of 1 km x 30 m maximum width is observed, macroscopically the constituent fragments of the structure show an intense and penetrating invasion of silica cryptocrystalline appearance. A subsequent event of silicification of dark gray coloration and fine dissemination of pyrite is recognized in the gap, this silicification event accompanied by sulphides is selectively sampled (80563, 80564, 80565, 80566 and 80567) reporting values in Au and Ag near the limit of detection, values <to 79 ppm Cu; In Mo anomalous values between 13 and 241 ppm the structure is dissected by NW-SE faults producing a slight displacement.
Luis Vela, P. Geo., Vice President of Exploration for Panoro and a "qualified person" under National Instrument 43-101, has reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information.
